MacBain Park: Large Playground closed starting September 26 for Installation of Accessible Swing

WonderFalls Swing

WonderFalls Pass sales fund accessible playground feature at MacBain Community Centre Park

Beginning Thursday, September 26, 2024, a portion of MacBain Community Centre Park (7150 Montrose Road) will be closed for the installation of a new accessible playground feature, the WonderFalls Swing.

The large playground area will be closed to ensure public safety. However, the swing set, small playground, and washrooms will remain open. The project is expected to be completed by October 31, 2024.

The accessible swing purchase was made possible with funds generated by sales of the WonderFalls Pass, which has become a part of the annual Sleep Cheap Charities Reap event.

Councillor Victor Pietrangelo created the initiative in 2015 to raise funds for a worthy cause and allow residents to explore the city’s unique places and attractions. The proceeds support improving the condition and accessibility of parks and playgrounds.

Thank you for your patience while construction is underway!
