City to host dogs-only swim at Buck Hinsperger Pool on Sunday, August 25

NIAGARA FALLS, ON - As outdoor pool season draws to a close, the City of Niagara Falls is excited to announce a dogs-only public swim event at Buck Hinsperger Pool, planned for the day after the pool closes to the public. 

On Sunday, August 25, Buck Hinsperger Pool at Chippawa Lions Park will remain open exclusively for four-legged friends. To finish off the summer on a high note, bring your pet out for a refreshing dip before the pool is drained for the season.

The following time slots are available while space remains:   

Small Dogs (Under 25 pounds)

  • 1:15 pm - 1:45 pm
  • 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Large Dogs (Over 25 pounds)

  • 2:45 pm - 3:15 pm
  • 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm
  • 4:45 pm - 4:45 pm

Small Dog time slots can accommodate a maximum of ten dogs at a time, while large dog time slots can accommodate a maximum of six dogs at a time.

All dogs must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older, with a maximum of two dogs per adult. Proof of rabies vaccination will be requested upon entrance to the pool area.

Please note that dogs found to be showing aggression, at the discretion of City staff, will be asked to leave.
