Residents can stay informed on Monday, April 8, through City of Niagara Falls notifications

NIAGARA FALLS, ON - On Monday, April 8, Niagara Falls will be one of only a handful of Canadian cities directly in the path of totality to experience a solar eclipse. Due to this, significant crowds, long lines, road closures, and increased traffic are expected on the day of the event and throughout the weekend.

The City of Niagara Falls is making preparations to prioritize safety and enjoyment for everyone. Residents are encouraged to check the website niagarafalls.ca/solareclipse regularly for timely information and updates that may affect them. To stay informed, they can also subscribe to City of Niagara Falls Solar Eclipse notifications to receive email or text message updates.

Regular updates will be broadcast live on 105.1 The River twice an hour from 9 am to 5 pm on Monday, April 8.
