Public Art Displays

There are many pieces of public art located around the City of Niagara Falls. 

The Public Art Policy the City of Niagara Falls strives to create vibrant public spaces that reflect the diversity of our community, and engage its residents and visitors with quality works of public art.

The City of Niagara Falls seeks to encourage all those who care about the community to participate in making art, collecting it and commissioning it.

Goals

  • Provide access to art in public places for all of Niagara Falls’ citizens.
  • Honour, preserve and encourage our cultural heritage and artistic diversity.
  • Promote civic identity through awareness and preservation of the community’s history, cultures and living arts.
  • Support effective urban planning, economic development and cultural tourism opportunities.

All public art projects and acquisitions will be assessed and developed according to the above goals.

Public Art Advisory Task Force (PAATF)

The Public Art Advisory Task Force will serve in an advisory capacity to City staff and aims to reflect the diversity of the community. The PAATF will review all Public Art Project Applications.  The Task Force discusses and assesses each application by applying pre-established Selection Criteria.
