School Holiday Programs (PD Days)
Families looking for fun ways to spend the PD Day will find plenty of options across Niagara Falls. The City hosts a variety of registered and drop-in activities at the MacBain Community Centre, Niagara Falls Exchange, Niagara Falls History Museum, Gale Centre Arena, and Niagara Falls Public Libraries.

PA Day Play Dough Fun
Learn how to make your own play dough and get rolling with your own creations. We've got all the supplies you'll need.
- Where: MacBain Community Centre, 7150 Montrose Road
- Cost: $3 per child
- Parent supervision required

Open swim
Hit up the MacBain Community Centre pool this PD day with open swim!
Leisure pool: Available from 8:00 am to 3:45 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
Lane pool & slide: Available from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Cost:
- Ages under four are free
- $4 for youth (ages 4 to 17)
- $4.50 for seniors
- $5 for adults
- $10 per family
All ages basketball
- 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm
All ages pickleball
- 1:15 pm to 3:15 pm
All ages ping pong
- 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Drop in indoor play structure
- 8:30 am to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm
- Ages 4 to 12
- $7 per person/$15 family
Club Rex at the Niagara Falls Exchange
What is a dinosaur? Where did they go? If they're extinct, what's that behind you?? Made you look! Join Club Rex on January 16 and learn the answers to these questions and more, as we dive deep into all that's new from the world of dinosaurs! Enjoy our fun and informative presentation, all while being able to see some amazing museum pieces from around the world. If you have a dino-fan at home, this is the place for them!
- The Niagara Falls Exchange, 5943 Sylvia Place
- Two shows are running:
- All ages. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
- $5 per person or free for Members
After the show, explore the Museum galleries and complete a scavenger hunt.
Public skating
Grab your skates and head to the Gale Centre Arena (5152 Thorold Stone Road) this PD Day! Skate times include:
- Public Skating: 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
- Youth Stick & Puck: 12:45 pm to 2 pm
Drop-in activities at Niagara Falls Public Libraries
Have some fun at the library on your day off from school! Board games, crafts, obstacle challenges, scavenger hunts and more!
- Chippawa, Community Centre, Stamford Centre and Victoria Avenue Libraries
