School Holiday Programs (PD Days)

Families looking for fun ways to spend PD days and school holidays will find plenty of options across Niagara Falls. The City hosts a variety of registered and drop-in activities at the MacBain Community Centre, Niagara Falls Exchange, Niagara Falls History Museum, Gale Centre Arena, and Niagara Falls Public Libraries.


 

PD Day - Friday, February 13, 2026

The City of Niagara Falls is hosting a variety of programs for kids and families to enjoy this PD Day!

Show us your love of crafts, by taking part in this Valentine’s Day craft program. We've got all the supplies you'll need.

  • Where: MacBain Community Centre, 7150 Montrose Road
  • When: Friday, February 13 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am or 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm
  • Who: Children ages 3 to 12 years
  • Cost: $5 per child

Ahoy, young explorers!

Set sail on an exciting adventure at the Museum with our pirate-themed "I Spy Bottle" workshop! Kids will become mini treasure hunters as they embark on a thrilling scavenger hunt through the galleries, discovering hidden gems, shiny trinkets, and mysterious pirate loot.

Once the treasures are found, little buccaneers will craft their very own I Spy Bottle, filled with sand, sparkle, and all the treasures they've uncovered. It’s the perfect keepsake to remind them of their high-seas museum quest!

X marks the spot—join us for a hands-on activity of curiosity, creativity, and pirate play!

  • Who: Ages 4 and up. The workshop is geared to kids four and up, but all ages are welcome to attend. All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Leisure Pool: Open from 8:00 am to 3:45 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm

Family Day - Monday, February 16, 2026

The City of Niagara Falls is hosting a variety of programs for kids and families to enjoy this Family Day!

Join us to create your personal melt bead masterpieces! We've got all the supplies you'll need.
Parental supervision is required.

  • When: 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, or 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm
  • Who: Children ages 6 to 13 years

Spend Family Day exploring biodiversity and habitat conservation @ the Museum! Join the Earth Rangers for live animal shows in the Exchange. This unique and up-close encounter with their animal ambassadors will leave you educated and inspired to help protect animals in the wild. Sponsored by Ontario Power Generation.

Other activities include free family portraits by Digital Attractions, free face painting, scavenger hunts, crafts with Niagara Parks, and three galleries full of artefacts that explore our local history!

Sportball introduces kids to a wide variety of sports and activities, building a foundation of a lifetime of active living. Drop in and have fun trying different equipment and activities.

Drop in for this high-octane choreographed workout, involving cardio and Latin inspired dance.

Drop in for this class that merges the excitement of Bollywood dance with a heart-pumping fitness workout. This class combines cardio bursts, toning exercises and easy-to-follow choreography to deliver a fun, upbeat full-body workout. Suitable for all fitness levels; no dance experience necessary.
