Financial Reporting
We publish yearly reports to explain the City’s finances, including budgets, financial statements, and spending details. These reports ensure transparency and help us meet legal requirements for sharing information with the public and the province.
Types of financial reports
- Consolidated Financial Statements reflect the City's assets, liabilities, revenues and expenses
- Financial Information Return (FIR): The City of Niagara Falls must submit a FIR to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing each year. These reports contain data on our financial position and activities, as well as statistical data. View the reports by visiting the FIR Dashboard.
- Trust Fund Statements detail money received from donations. We use trust funds to separate money when collected under specific agreements or laws.
