The City of Niagara Falls has been recognized by the Municipal Service Delivery Officials' Canada (MSDO) with the 2026 Excellence in Transformation Award for its At Your Service Niagara Falls (AYSNF) initiative. In addition, Shelley Darlington, General Manager of Corporate Services, received the MSDO Lifetime Service Award, and Carey Campbell, Manager, Office of the Mayor and CAO, was honoured with a Certificate of Recognition for Excellence in Customer Service.
As warm weather returns and beach season begins, Niagara Region Public Health is launching its annual beach water testing program, which monitors public beaches from Victoria Day through Labour Day. The City has retained the Ontario Restaurant Hotel Motel Association (ORHMA) to administer MAT collection services on its behalf. Effective June 1, 2026, MAT remittances must be submitted through a new ORHMA-administered online portal, and in-person payments at City Hall will no longer be accepted.
