The City of Niagara Falls is inviting local vendors to apply to participate in the 2026 Niagara Falls Farmers’ Market, taking place every Saturday from May 23 to October 10, 2026.  Applications must be completed online, and details about vendor opportunities can be found at niagarafalls.ca/market.

Beginning June 15, 2026, Air Canada and The Landline Company will provide a direct connection between Niagara District Airport (YCM) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) via luxury motorcoach service.

Spring is almost here, and so is a fresh season of recreation programs in Niagara Falls. The spring lineup includes swimming, fitness, arts, sports, and life skill-building programs, offering a variety of opportunities to stay active, learn new skills, and connect with the community.

Niagara Falls families can look forward to a week of fun, learning, and active play this March Break, with programs happening across the city from March 16–20.

Sleep Cheap Charities Reap is an annual fundraising event held in the City of Niagara Falls. The Sleep Cheap event is coordinated by the City in co-operation with members of the City’s tourism industry, who comprise the Sleep Cheap Committee. Thanks to the generosity of local hotel and attraction operators, the 2025 Sleep Cheap Charities Reap event, which ran from November 23 to 27, 2025, raised $108,365.98. Overall, since the inception of Sleep Cheap in 2004, the event has raised $2,719,434 for local charities.

Niagara Parks, in partnership with the City of Niagara Falls will implement planned road closures along a section of Portage Road, beginning February 24, 2026: 

The City of Niagara Falls is advising residents that a province-wide road salt shortage is affecting winter maintenance operations across Ontario and parts of the United States, including local municipalities. 

With a long weekend and a PD Day on the calendar, the City of Niagara Falls is inviting families to get out and enjoy a wide range of activities happening across the city on Friday, February 13 (PD Day) and Monday, February 16 (Family Day). 

With feedback still coming in from residents and community partners, the public engagement deadline to share input on the Unhoused Action Plan has been extended to Saturday, February 28th, 2026.
