City of Niagara Falls: June News + Updates

Summer is Officially Here!
This past Sunday, June 21, marked the official start of summer, and we have plenty of activities, events, and programs in store for the next few months.
Read on to discover what’s coming up!

Celebrate Canada Day at Firemen's Park on Wednesday, July 1!
Free shuttle service will run from multiple locations across the city. Please note that limited on-site parking will be available for a $10 donation, supporting the SCVFA and United Way Niagara.

Supporting Local Businesses Through Construction Season
Operation Smooth Roads is underway! This multi-year plan focuses on upgrading, repairing, and renewing roads throughout our community. Each project is guided by detailed road condition data to make sure investments are made where they're needed most.
As part of this initiative, you may see increased construction throughout the summer season as crews work to improve roads, infrastructure, and services throughout the city. Construction is underway on Portage Road between Morrison Street and Thorold Stone Road, but local businesses are still open and easy to reach.
If you're visiting the area, please continue to support local businesses during construction. Your support makes a difference!

Help contribute to a life-sized mirror mosaic for display at the Niagara Falls Night of Art in September. Paint a child-safe, shatter-resistant acrylic piece to celebrate community, identity, and creativity. The workshops are free to attend, and no experience is required.
Workshops run 6:30–8:30 PM on:

Niagara Falls is Entering a Once-in-a-Generation Period of Opportunity!
With the Province's Destination Niagara strategy creating momentum for new investment, attractions, and experiences, now is the time to share your ideas for what could come next.
We're inviting residents, businesses, workers, and visitors to provide feedback on the future of Niagara Falls. What new attractions, experiences, arts and cultural opportunities, or culinary offerings would you like to see in our community?
Feedback received will help inform ongoing discussions related to the Destination Niagara strategy and identify ideas that reflect community interests and priorities.
