Supporting Local Businesses Through Construction Season

Operation Smooth Roads is underway! This multi-year plan focuses on upgrading, repairing, and renewing roads throughout our community. Each project is guided by detailed road condition data to make sure investments are made where they're needed most.

As part of this initiative, you may see increased construction throughout the summer season as crews work to improve roads, infrastructure, and services throughout the city. Construction is underway on Portage Road between Morrison Street and Thorold Stone Road, but local businesses are still open and easy to reach.

If you're visiting the area, please continue to support local businesses during construction. Your support makes a difference!

Explore our interactive Operation Smooth Roads map to see which roads are being improved this year: letstalk.niagarafalls.ca/operation-smooth-roads.
