Sewer and Storm Systems Compliance
The City of Niagara Falls follows special rules from the Province of Ontario to help manage our sewer and stormwater systems. We share reports to show how our systems are managed.
Environmental permissions
Environmental permissions called Consolidated Linear Infrastructure Environmental Compliance Approvals (CLI ECAs) are issued to municipalities. They apply to all sewage and stormwater systems owned by the City of Niagara Falls and any alterations to structures or equipment within the system.
The Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) requires municipalities to submit reports and make them available to the public.
