Report illegal dumping in Niagara

Illegal dumping is disposing of household garbage, construction materials, appliances/furniture, etc., in non-designated, publicly owned areas. The Niagara Region deals with the crime of illegal dumping within the City of Niagara Falls. They also offer monetary rewards for reports of illegal dumping that lead to a conviction. Report roadside garbage on city-maintained roads

If you notice garbage or litter accumulating along roadsides or public rights-of-way, reporting it helps keep Niagara Falls clean and safe.

You can report roadside garbage in a few easy ways.

Note: Please provide the exact location (street name and nearest address or intersection). A photo is optional, but it can help crews assess and clean up the area more quickly.

For issues with smaller amounts of loose litter on city property, contact us, and we will have a crew come out to clean up the area. We do not clean up leaves, grass trimmings, or private properties.

If you notice a public garbage bin that is full or overflowing in a City park, street, or public space, reporting it helps ensure it is emptied promptly.

You can report a full garbage receptacle on city property in a few easy ways.

Note: Please provide the location of the receptacle (address or nearest intersection). A photo is optional, but it can help staff respond more efficiently.

How often are city garbage bins emptied?

The City of Niagara Falls empties garbage bins once a week in parks, along trails, and on various sidewalks throughout the city.
