The City of Niagara Falls named one of Hamilton-Niagara’s Top Employers for 2026

NIAGARA FALLS, ON -  The City of Niagara Falls is proud to announce we have been selected as one of Hamilton-Niagara's Top Employers for 2026.

Now in its 19th year, Hamilton-Niagara’s Top Employers is a special designation that recognizes employers in the greater Hamilton and Niagara region who lead their industries in offering exceptional workplaces. For the second year in a row, the City of Niagara Falls has been selected as one of Hamilton-Niagara’s Top Employers. The 2026 selection was based on a submission to Mediacorp Canada Inc., which oversees the competition. The 2026 winners were announced today by The Hamilton Spectator.

Employers are evaluated against other organizations in their field to determine those with exceptional corporate programs and forward-thinking workplace policies.

The review is based on assessing the criteria in the following:

• Health, Financial & Family Benefits
• Training & Skills Development
• Work Atmosphere & Social
• Vacation & Time Off
• Employee Communications
• Performance Management
• Community Involvement

The City was selected for several reasons, including social staff events, fundraising initiatives, flexible working arrangements, health screening programs, employee assistance programs, onsite wellness facilities, childcare partnerships, and other health and wellness benefits. It is essential to recognize that our staff are our most valuable assets and the foundation of the City's various critical programs and services to its residents and visitors.
