Niagara Falls Night of Art 2026: Call for Artists, Performers, and Artisan Vendors

NIAGARA FALLS, ON – The City of Niagara Falls is now accepting submissions for the 15th annual Niagara Falls Night of Art, taking place on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

The one-night event transforms the Niagara Falls Exchange, Niagara Falls History Museum, and surrounding grounds into a lively celebration of creativity, featuring visual art, live performances, video installations, artisan vendors, improv, and interactive experiences throughout the evening.

Applications are now open for installation artists, performance artists, and artisan vendors. Submissions must be received by Friday, June 19, 2026, at midnight.

What We’re Looking For

The Culture team is seeking:

  • Installation artists working in any medium
  • Performance artists, including dance, acrobatics, immersive experiences, and audience-engagement works
  • Artisan vendors interested in displaying and selling handmade or original work

Please note: main stage musical acts are not being accepted as part of this call.

Performance artists should note that shorter performances are preferred, with 10 to 15-minute sets ideal for rotating performances throughout the evening.

Artist Fees and Vendor Information

Installation and performance artists will be paid for selected work and must include a requested funding amount in their application. Funding request options include:

  • $250
  • $500
  • $1,000
  • $1,500
  • $2,000
  • $2,500

While requested funding amounts are not guaranteed, every effort will be made to support selected participants where possible.

Selected artisan vendors will be required to pay a $50 participation fee and are responsible for their own sales and staffing during the event.

Important Submission Details

  • All installations must be stable, secure, and safely anchored. Final approval of all works is subject to review by Museum staff.
  • Before submitting an application, all installation and performance artists must complete a mandatory informal phone conversation with the Culture team by Friday, June 12, 2026, to discuss their proposal.

  • Applications will be reviewed based on creativity, originality, and feasibility. Niagara-based artists are especially encouraged to apply. Standard conflict of interest guidelines apply.
