Niagara Falls Fire Department Invites Community to "Charge Into Fire Safety" at Annual Fire Prevention Day
NIAGARA FALLS, ON - The Niagara Falls Fire Department is excited to welcome residents and visitors to its annual Fire Prevention Day on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The highly anticipated community event will take place at Fire Station #4, located at 8696 Banting Ave in Chippawa.
This year’s event is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever. It centers on the official Fire Prevention Day theme: “Charge Into Fire Safety™. Safe Charging Is a Superpower.” The campaign aims to teach families how to safely charge and handle modern electronics, phones, and micromobility devices to prevent household fires.
The day features a wide array of free, interactive activities, safety demonstrations, and family entertainment, including:
- Interactive Learning: Hands-on experiences at the dedicated Fire Safety Table and Kitchen Safety Table.
- Live Action: Dynamic vehicle rescue demonstrations and a specialized kids' fire house equipped with real fire hoses.
- Family Fun: A large bouncy castle, professional face painting, and custom balloon animals.
- Special Guests: Meet-and-greets with beloved safety mascot Sparky the Fire Dog and a special presentation by popular children’s education personality, Shaney.
- Food & Treats: A community BBQ hosted by the Station 4 Association alongside Sparky’s Movie Time, featuring popcorn generously donated by Cineplex Odeon Cinemas.
- Community Partners: Interactive workshops and safety resources provided by Home Depot Niagara Falls, and Cineplex Odeon Cinema.
Admission to the event is completely free. Families across the Niagara region are encouraged to attend to learn life-saving safety skills while enjoying a fun-filled Saturday afternoon.
