Grand Opening of Batting Tunnel Facility at WL Houck Park


NIAGARA FALLS, ON - The City of Niagara Falls is pleased to invite members of the media and the community members to the grand opening of the new state-of-the-art batting tunnel facility at WL Houck Park. Developed through partnership between the City of Niagara Falls, the Greater Niagara Baseball Association (GNBA), and the Canada Summer Games, the project enhances recreational opportunities for local athletes and residents while supporting the growth of baseball and softball in Niagara Falls.

- What: Grand opening of the new state-of-the-art batting tunnel facility in Niagara Falls, including a ribbon cutting and an opportunity for community members to try it out.
- When: Thursday, July 9, at 1:00 p.m.
- Where: WL Houck Park, 5709 Valley Way (on-site parking available)
- Who: Mayor Jim Diodati will share a few words and do a ribbon cutting. Along with key members from Greater Niagara Baseball Association, Sport Niagara, and Niagara Girls Minor Softball.
- Why: To celebrate the opening of a new batting tunnel facility, highlight recent park improvements, and demonstrate how these investments are creating more opportunities for local residents to play baseball and softball.
