City of Niagara Falls partners with RONA+ Niagara Falls to host Deck Day on Saturday, June 13

NIAGARA FALLS, ON - The City of Niagara Falls is partnering with RONA+ Niagara Falls to host Deck Day, an informative event designed to help homeowners and contractors navigate the building permit process for decks and other outdoor projects.

Event Details: 

  • Where: RONA+ Niagara Falls, 7959 McLeod Road
  • When: Saturday, June 13, 2026
  • Time: Between 10 am and 2 pm

City Building Services staff will be on-site to answer questions and provide guidance on:

  • The permit application process
  • Required inspections and timelines
  • Deck construction requirements
  • Zoning By-laws and Ontario Building Code standards
  • Required drawings and documentation for permit approval

“Deck Day is a great opportunity for residents to connect directly with our Building Services team,” said Fred Sacco, Manager of Building Services. “By helping people understand the permit process and requirements upfront, we can support safer construction and help avoid costly delays.”

Whether you’re planning a new deck, porch, or other outdoor structure, Deck Day offers a valuable opportunity to speak directly with City staff and ensure your project is built safely and in compliance with regulations.

The RONA+ team will also host a charitable BBQ on-site, with proceeds supporting the Niagara Health Foundation.
