NIAGARA FALLS, ON - The City of Niagara Falls has launched its newly redesigned website, niagarafalls.ca, offering improved usability, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness to better serve residents, businesses, and visitors.

“Our website is often the first place anyone goes to learn about Niagara Falls’ services, so it’s vital for a new user to be able to quickly and easily find what they’re looking for,” said Mayor Jim Diodati. “We wanted to give our visitors a clearer layout, a better search engine, and a good experience in finding what they need, however they choose to access the site.”

The improved website features intuitive navigation, a modern design, and accessibility upgrades that meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. Developed with extensive input from staff and the public, including a sitemap test and survey, the site has been carefully designed to reflect how residents and visitors actually use online City services.

“This new website represents a major upgrade for residents, including optimization for mobile use for every resident’s tablet or smartphone,” said CAO Jason Burgess. “It’s part of our commitment to providing accessible and convenient customer service.'

Key Features Include:

  • Streamlined navigation based on common user behaviour
  • A responsive design for consistent viewing across all devices
  • Centralized listings of City bylaws, policies, and parks
  • Enhanced accessibility features meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards
  • A comprehensive community calendar featuring local events
  • At Your Service Niagara Falls – our customer service portal, where residents can report issues, submit requests, and track responses in real time
  • A dynamic homepage with the latest City news and updates

“We went through and reviewed every page, updating and rewriting as needed to ensure visitors receive the most useful, understandable and accurate information,” said General Manager of Corporate Services, Shelley Darlington. “This launch is just the beginning. We’ll continue to add features and content in the coming weeks and months.”

At Your Service Niagara Falls Portal
The City has also recently launched At Your Service Niagara Falls, an easy-to-use customer service portal, accessible from niagarafalls.ca. This new tool enables residents to report issues, submit requests, and track responses in real-time. “The City is focused on improving the customer experience across all service areas,” said Shelley Darlington. “Whether you’re reporting a pothole or looking for zoning information, our new website and citizen portal make it faster and easier to get what you need.”

City Dashboards
Niagara Falls water bill customers and property owners can manage their water and property tax account information online through the City Dashboard. You can also submit and manage building permits and planning applications here.

To continue to keep your account safe, we are asking everyone with a City Dashboard account to reset their password the first time they log in after January 7, 2026. It is quick and easy - just click the “Forgot your password?” link on the sign-in page.

Temporary Disruptions
Please note: some temporary connection issues may occur during the launch period. These are a normal part of any large-scale platform transition and help ensure long-term stability and performance. City staff appreciate your patience and understanding.
