City of Niagara Falls Launches Flood Recovery Support Registry
NIAGARA FALLS, ON - The City of Niagara Falls has launched a Flood Recovery Support Registry to assist eligible residents whose homes were impacted by the heavy rainfall and flooding on August 2, 2026.
The registry will help coordinate additional flood recovery services for eligible residential property owners and tenants, including:
- An additional curbside collection of flood-related material or waste on Monday, August 10, 2026.
- Waste drop-off passes for participating Niagara Region public waste depots.
Residents whose properties were affected by flooding are encouraged to:
- Contact their insurance provider as soon as possible to begin the claims process.
- If it is safe to do so, document flood damage with photos or videos before beginning cleanup.
- Register with the City's Flood Recovery Support Registry if they require waste collection or disposal assistance.
Registration is required to receive flood recovery support services. Applications must be submitted by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026 to allow the collection contractor to plan for the scheduled curbside collection on Monday, August 10, 2026.
Residents can register:
- Online: Complete the Flood Recovery Support Registry application.
- By phone: Call At Your Service Niagara Falls at 905-356-7521.
- In person: Visit At Your Service Niagara Falls at City Hall or MacBain Community Centre.
Residents are encouraged to register online where possible, as At Your Service Niagara Falls may experience higher-than-normal call volumes while assisting affected residents.
