NIAGARA FALLS, ON - The City of Niagara Falls is inviting residents to share their priorities and provide feedback as planning begins for the 2027 municipal budget.

The City's 2027 Budget Engagement opens today, Monday, August 31, and residents can participate by completing an online survey available through the City's Let’s Talk Niagara Falls engagement platform.

Each year, the Mayor and City Council make decisions about the services, programs and infrastructure that help keep Niagara Falls running. From roads and parks to recreation programs, public safety and community facilities, the annual budget helps determine where resources are invested and which priorities move forward.

As the City begins planning for the 2027 budget, resident feedback will help staff, the Mayor, and Council better understand community priorities and inform budget discussions for the year ahead. While many factors are considered during the budget process, public input is an important part of helping the Mayor and Council make informed decisions.

How your feedback can help

Residents are encouraged to complete the survey to help:

  • Identify the services and investments that matter most to residents;
  • Inform discussions about future spending priorities;
  • Support transparent and informed decision-making; and
  • Ensure a variety of community perspectives are considered.

Four annual budgets support the City’s key municipal services:

  • Tax Levy Supported Operating Budget;
  • Parking Budget;
  • Water and Wastewater Budget; and
  • Capital Budget.

The survey takes approximately five to ten minutes to complete.

The 2027 Budget Engagement will remain open until Friday, October 30, 2026.
