City of Niagara Falls Introduces New Visitor Screening at City Hall Beginning April 8, 2026

NIAGARA FALLS, ON - The City of Niagara Falls is introducing a new visitor screening and sign‑in process at City Hall, effective Wednesday, April 8, 2026, to support a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all residents, businesses, and visitors.
These procedures, in place during regular operating hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), are designed to streamline the visitor experience while enhancing building security.
What Visitors Can Expect
- Main Entrance Access: All visitors must enter through the main entrance on Queen Street.
- Screening Location: Upon entering, visitors will proceed directly to the Customer Service Counters on the first floor for screening.
- Sign-In & Credentials: Visitors will sign in at the Customer Service Desk and receive visitor credentials, which must be worn visibly at all times while inside the building.
- Department Notification: Customer Service staff will notify the appropriate department when a visitor arrives. A staff member from that department will then meet and escort the visitor for the duration of their time in City Hall.
Additional Information
The visitor-screening process reflects the City’s commitment to enhancing safety and security at City facilities while maintaining a welcoming environment. Signage and staff will be available to guide visitors through the new process.
