NIAGARA FALLS, ON — The City of Niagara Falls is now accepting nominations for its annual Volunteer Recognition Awards. Nominations are open until Friday, October 9, 2026, and can be submitted online at niagarafalls.ca/awards.

The Volunteer Recognition Awards celebrate individuals, organizations and businesses that give their time and talents to make a positive difference in Niagara Falls. This year’s awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, at the Niagara Falls Exchange.

Award categories include:

  • Stamford Collegiate Alumni Association Award in Memory of Barbara Frum
  • Civic Pride Award
  • Environment Award
  • George MacPhail Award
  • Senior Volunteer of the Year Award
  • Youth Volunteer of the Year Award
  • BeNF Award
  • Doug Austin Award
  • Individual Volunteer Award
  • Corporate Sponsor Award

Eligibility and nomination requirements vary by award. Full award descriptions, eligibility criteria and nomination details are available at niagarafalls.ca/awards.

Residents who are unable to complete the online nomination form can contact the City’s Recreation & Culture Department at 905-356-7521 ext. 4359 during regular business hours.
