2026 Niagara Falls Summer Trillium Awards Winners Announced
NIAGARA FALLS, ON - The City of Niagara Falls has announced the winners of the 2026 Summer Trillium Awards, recognizing local properties for their outstanding curbside landscaping and contributions to community beautification.
This year, 66 properties participated in the program, with participants receiving an Award of Excellence, Gold, Silver or Bronze Trillium rating, or a Participation Award, in recognition of their efforts to enhance curbside landscaping and beautify the community.

All Trillium Award recipients are invited to receive their awards from Mayor Jim Diodati and members of City Council at an awards ceremony on September 9 at the Gale Centre. Complimentary finger foods and wine will be served, courtesy of ceremony sponsors Kathy Tsiantoulas and Daniela Mitrovic, the Property Girls from RE/MAX Niagara Realty Ltd.
About the program
The Summer Trillium Awards, presented by Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc., encourage Niagara Falls property owners to enhance their curbside landscaping and help beautify neighbourhoods across the city.
Each year, residents are encouraged to enhance their property's curb appeal while considering horticultural best practices and environmental sustainability.
The program is administered by the City's Environmental Action Committee, with support from community volunteers who have knowledge and experience in horticulture and landscape design.
Participating properties are assessed using standard landscaping principles across six categories:
- Principles of design
- Turf
- Quality of maintenance and plant diversity
- Hardscaping features
- Unique features
- Environmental considerations

About the Environmental Action Committee
The Environmental Action Committee is a volunteer committee appointed by Niagara Falls City Council. Its mandate includes encouraging environmental responsibility, city-wide beautification, active transportation and civic pride through community action. The Committee also advises City Council on matters related to its mandate.
