Baden Powell Park

Accessible from the parking lot on Montrose Road, Baden Powell Park is a hidden gem along the south bank of the Welland River. It is a favourite place for birdwatchers and other nature lovers. The park features hiking trails, a tall grass prairie, an oak savannah, and a Carolinian forest. The Grassybrook Stream bisects the park. Shoreline fishing is a popular activity. Named for the founder of the Scout movement, Lt.-General Robert Baden-Powell (1857-1941).
