Born in Halifax, raised in Niagara, Wendy Leard is living her life. Dance has flowed through her veins since being a student at Miss Helen’s Dance Studio on Queen Street. Her talents took her to Toronto, where she was General Manager of 4 studios owned by Roland and Romaine Productions. Wendy danced on the Pig & Whistle and Bobby Vinton TV Programs, and for 25+ years she sang and danced around the USA with performance/recording group Rich Blend. Wendy’s signature can be found on many theatre companies’ productions as both choreographer and director, and she is the recipient of the Barbara Frum Award.

The Wendy Leard School of Dance opened in 1980, and the Studio ends each year with a “do not miss” event Showcase. Wendy's passion and dedication to dance shines through her students on the stage, finding the Joy of Dance.
