Kurt lived in Niagara Falls until 1984, receiving the Art Award from A.N. Myer and staging his first multi-media performance at The Niagara Falls Library. He participated in the Niagara Regional Art Association and the Niagara Artist’s Centre.

Now based in Toronto, as a multi-discipline artist he has composed extensively for film and TV, released a dozen albums of original songs, appears as a session guitarist on over 100 albums, along with countless credits in art direction, set design, animation, wardrobe, illustration, and graphic work for clients including CBC, Environment Canada, Barenaked Ladies, and Margaret Atwood. His visual work is in the permanent collection of the Canada Council Art Bank. He was voted Best Local Guitarist by the readers of Toronto’s NOW Magazine, was Artist of the Week on Bravo TV’s Arts and Minds, and was the first Artist in Residence at the National Music Centre in Calgary.
