About:
Charles John Dobbie Vandersluys, Master Photog. Cr. and lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, has family history here as far back as 1888. Known as the ‘Mayor’ of Lundy’s Lane, he’s been a photographer in Niagara for over 50 years with a successful portrait studio and wedding chapel on Lundy’s Lane.
His journey began with the St. Catharines Camera Club and evolved as a member of the Professional Photographers of America where he earned a Masters and Craftsman degree. Charles and his wife Jacqueline are the only photographers in Niagara to hold this degree, and he is the first and only Canadian to be elected President of the Professional Photographers of Buffalo Niagara. Charles has photographed Justin and Margaret Trudeau, Christopher Lloyd, Nik Wallenda, and Jay Cochrane. He’s won numerous awards, including three-time International Day Photographer of the year. He is also represented by the Lupine Art Gallery, Maine.
