About:
Brighton Rock was formed in Niagara Falls when guitarist Greg Fraser and bassist Stevie Skreebs harnessed their passion for music and unwavering dream to be rock stars, bringing together vocalist Gerry McGhee, drummer Mark Cavarzan, and keyboardist Johnny Rogers to release a self-titled EP in 1985. They signed a worldwide record deal with Warner Music Records in 1986, releasing three albums – ‘Young, Wild and Free’ (1986), Gold record ‘Take A Deep Breath’ (1988), and ‘Love Machine’ (1991). They earned two significant Juno nominations.
Brighton Rock toured extensively and took a much-needed break in 1992, but joined together for a reunion tour in 2001, releasing the live album ‘A Room for Five Live’ and greatest hits package ‘The Essentials’ in 2006. They headlined at many European festivals, and the Monsters of Rock Cruise in 2019. They continued to regroup for festivals and benefit concerts until 2020.
