Delegated Authority
Delegated Authority is where decision-making powers or duties originally assigned to the city council are formally delegated to another. This is allowed under the Municipal Act and is done to streamline processes or handle specific matters more efficiently. These meetings are open to the public.
Delegated Authority meeting information
- Attend a meeting: Meetings are open to everyone. You can join in person at City Hall, 4310 Queen Street, in the Committee Room 2, or online by contacting pbd@niagarafalls.ca for a Zoom link.
- Agendas: We usually post meeting agendas on this webpage by Thursday before the meeting. Agendas might change, so check back here for updates before the meeting.
- Request to speak at a meeting: If you want to speak about an item on the agenda, send a written request to pbd@niagarafalls.ca at least 24 hours before the meeting starts. Anyone can make a request, except Council members or City staff.
