Tree Seedling Sale – Saturday, April 29, 2017

Niagara Falls, ON, April 3, 2017 - The Park in the City Committee encourages local residents, businesses and schools to plant native trees to help restore health to our urban environment. As part of the promotion, the Committee will be selling native seedlings for $5.00 each on Saturday April 29, 2017 during the annual Tree Seedling Sale taking place at the MacBain Community Centre, located at 7150 Montrose Road, Niagara Falls. The sale will start at 9:00am and go until 12:00pm or when seedlings run out.

Over the last eight years, more than 3,000 seedlings have been sold. The tree seedlings for sale this year, include the Eastern Hemlock, Tamarack, White Oak and Bur Oak. Tree seedlings are sold on a first come – first serve basis. Residents can pre-order seedlings with pre-payment (cash, cheque, debit, money order) at the MacBain Community Centre and Gale Centre starting April 3, 2017 and running to April 26, 2017. A maximum of 25 seedlings can be pre-ordered and a minimum of 5 seedlings is needed to pre-order. Individual seedlings can be purchased on the event day by cash only. Quantities are limited through pre-orders and on the sale day, so don’t wait.
