Niagara Falls, ON, February 8, 2016 – Join the Niagara Falls History Museum, for its longstanding tradition of fabulous FREE fun, on Family Day, Monday, February 15, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This year’s Family Day will feature a day full of crafts, scavenger hunts, exploration – and reptiles!
Families can take part in any one of Reptile Kingdom’s exciting live interactive shows running at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. The shows will feature an opportunity to meet a variety of strange and wondrous creatures from around the world, and the chance to learn about their features, habits and habitats. Converse with Meatball the African Bullfrog, get up close with Sunshine the Albino Reticulated Python from Brazil, or have a heart-to-heart with Itchy the Rose Hair Tarantula from Chile. Tarzan the Giant Legless Lizard awaits your visit!
Also on hand @ the Museum are the many hands-on components of The Canada’s Waterscapes - Yours to Enjoy, Explore and Protect exhibit in the OPG Temporary Gallery. This family-friendly exhibit encourages visitors to dive in and find out what it takes to understand and take care of Canada's aquatic ecosystems. Discover amazing creatures that dwell in the depths of the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park. Imagine yourself diving beneath the Arctic ice into a world full of life and colour!
All of the Museum’s galleries are open for Family Day, including: build a bridge, become a daredevil and walk the tightrope, explore and discover the unique history of the big little City by the gigantic Waterfall.
Everything is FREE on Family Day!
