Every Monday morning in the Blue Room at 9:30 am you can find these ladies busy doing crafts and offering a friendly welcome to any newcomers. If you like to knit, sew, crochet, quilt or make bazaar items, then this might be the place for you at the Coronation Centre “Friendship Club”. Book Club: $1.00 drop in fee
On the 3rd Wednesday of the month our Book Club, in collaboration with the Niagara Falls Library, meets to discuss the book of choice for the month. At each gathering a book is discussed and a new book is handed out, but dont fret - we always have extra copies of the book at the front desk. You can join our group at ANY time. Stop by and get your copy of the latest book!
Computer Club: $1.00 drop in fee
Computer Club is a demonstration in Windows or Mac - features Tablets, iPads, Playbooks, Android, Laptop and other devices, followed by a question and answer session. Held the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 11:00am - 12:00pm
Watercolours: $1.00 per class
Come and join us Monday at 1:30 pm for an enjoyable afternoon learning the art of ‘water colours’. Demo's and some instruction given to beginners from multiple qualified instructors.
Our library is open daily from 8:30 am-4:30 pm. We have many books, the collection includes romance novels, fiction and hardcover’s arranged by author last name. Relax in one of our big comfortable chairs, take a book home with you and place it in the blue bin for re shelving when you are finished reading. Also, help yourself to any of the informational pamphlets provided on a range of senior topics.

Chess: $1.00 Drop in fee
The origins of chess are not exactly clear, though most believe it evolved from earlier chess-like games played in India almost two thousand years ago. The game of chess we know today has been around for more than 500 years played by millions of people around the world. Join us for a game of chess on Wednesday afternoons ihn the Blue Room at 1:00pm.
Scrabble: $1.00 Drop in fee
The game Scrabble is sold in 121 countries and is available in 29 languages. Fortunatley we have the British version. Come join us and place the tiles and earn those points.
Darts: $1.00 Drop in fee
Join us as we throw some arrows. This group is a lot of fun with almost 50 members in participation. Join us for League Play (September – May) every Thursday at 1:30 pm. Fun Darts played June, July and August.
Shuffleboard: $1.00 Drop in fee
This is floor shuffleboard and is offered on a Thursday at 9:30 am and Mondays at 1:15pm in the lower auditorium. Shuffleboard is a sport of skill and strategy and requires little physical strength. The main elements of a winning plan are: clearing the board, blocking and hiding and kitchen play when necessary. It’s great fun so why not join us.
Table Tennis: $1.00 Drop in fee
Table Tennis also known as Ping Pong is played Tuesday's at from 12:00pm-3:00 and Thursday 12:00pm - 3:00pm
Mexican Train: $1.00 Drop in fee
Mexican Train is a game played with Dominoes. The object of the game is for a player to play all the dominoes from his or her hand onto one or more chains, or 'trains' emanating from a central 'station'. Join us on Tuesday from 1:00pm - 3:00pm.
Essentrics: $3.50 per class
Release, Rebalance, and Restore. Using classical stretching techniques to decrease pain, increase energy, and strength.
Cardio Circuits: $2.50 per class
Be prepared to be put through your paces. Build strength with weights and interval training while burning maximum calories. Join us on a Monday morning for a combination of step ups, lunges, squat jumps, push ups, skipping, sit ups, chest press, bicep curls, squats, planks, jumping jacks, stability ball and much more.
Tone & Fit: $2.50 per class
A moderate beginners class to keep you healthy and strong through active movements and stretches. A variety of equipment is used in this class, focuses on improving posture and flexibility by strengthening and stretching the muscles and body.
Sit and be fit: $2.50 per class
Chair exercising focuses on increasing strength and endurance through low intensity seated exercise using bands and small hands weights. Suited for those with cardiac conditions, respiratory and physical limitations. Classes are 45 minutes long and $2.50 drop in fee applies.
Flex Fit: $2.50 per class
A class to enhance flexibility, stretching and relaxation through exercise. Flex Fit is a great tension reducer at the end of the day in addition to renewing yourself with positive energy instilling a calmness of mind and body. The movements are designed to increase your range of motion , improve posture, flexibility and release tension. $2.50 per class
Men's Only Fitness: $2.50 per class
Men’s cardio is held at both the Coronation Centre and at MacBain. You work at your own pace and we don’t use fancy footwork or get out of breath fast. You will work on balance exercises as well as strength training to help improve your daily routine, which could include; golfing, taking out the garbage, grocery shopping, yard work or whatever your day may include. We finish with stretches done on mats. $2.50 per class
Drum Cardio: $2.50 per class
Traditional aerobic movement to the beat and rhythm of the drums. A workout for the entire body, mind and spirit. Strengthen and sculpt infrequesntly used muscles - using drumming riutines all while rocking out to your favourite music.
Gentle Fit: $2.50 per class
Gentle aerobic workout that helps with balance, builds strength, flexibility and assists range of motion by using resistance tools. We finish the class with light stretching. Great for those new to exercise with no limitations. $2.50 per class.
Sculpt & Tone: $3.50 class
Are you worried about bone and/or muscle loss? Want to speed up your metabolism and increase calorie burn? Resistance training. Build functional strength. Tone and define muscles. Increase your metabolism and calorie burning ability $3.50 per class.
Get Fit All: $2.50
You will benefit from this class if you are accustomed to the level one or level two Get Fit classes. The combined class is a moderate fitness class, weight training and mat work are included in the class. You can take it to a level you are comfortable with.
Total Body Circuits:Pre registration required
This challenging 1.5 hour class incorporates circuits to build strength and endurance in all your major muscles groups, Class format includes a group warm-up, followed by an aerobic portion, then individual circuits which focus on resistance, balance and core work ending with a cool down. This class requires pre-registration. Please check the newsletter for registration dates.
Core Fit: $3.50
This class will concentrate on the muscles of the core. Strong back and abdominal muscles will help support the spine and help prevent low back pain. It will also improve posture and balance through the use of equipment including stability ball, dyna discs, foam rollers, wobble boards and resistance bands. $3.50 per class
Stretch N Tone: $2.50
Class focusses on stretching, building functioanl strength and toning. For people who are 'yoga' challenged but still want the same benefits of increased flexibility and relaxation.
Core & More: $2.50
This class focusses on toning abs (core) and major muscle groups. Designed to burn calories and boost metabolism.
Zumba: $4.50 drop in fee
The Zumba workout provides fitness benefits because its routines feature interval training sessions with fast and slow rhythms and resistance training, which are intended to tone and sculpt the body while burning fat. Music is the key ingredient to classes, created with specific beats and tempo changes. Pre-registration and payment is required before beginning session.
Aqua Fitness: Pre registration required
Work out safely and effectively in the water. Increase strength and flexibility. Ideal for hip and knee replacements and arthritis. Pre-registration at the Coronation Centre & payment required prior to each session. Bring to class: bathing suit, towel, strongly suggest water shoes to be worn in the pool and a lock for belongings.
Deep Water Aqua Fitness: Pre registration required
A low impact, high intensity class to get you moving in the water. Participants wear flotation belts and are in the deep end for the entire 1 hour class. Workout intensity is equivalent to running 11km/hour. Perquisites include: surface support 45 seconds, swim front crawl at least 10 meters, swim 25 meters continuously. This class requires pre-registration and payment in full before beginning the session.
Tai Chi:$1.50 per class - $15.00 punch cards available
Tai Chi is based on repetition of slow, gentle continuous stretching movements that incorporate the whole body. Increase your strength, circulation, balance and mental focus in this class. Beginners welcome in September and February to the Wednesday and Friday morning classes. Classes also available on Monday and Thursday evenings.
Yoga: Pre registration required
There are three basic parts to the Yoga program. Each session begins and ends with a relaxation exercise where you learn to progressively relax every muscle in the body. The next step is a series of simple exercises designed to bring movement to every joint in the skeletal system. Finally, you work on breathing, learning to breathe diaphragmatically. Yoga is a commitment to look after yourself better both mentally and physically. Pre-registration and payment is required before beginning session.
