NEW! Virtual Programs

We now offer over a dozen different, FREE, live, virtual programs each week. Membership is not required. These new opportunities to socialize, have fun, and be healthy are made possible by a Seniors Community Grant from the Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility. Programs are offered Monday through Friday, until the end of March 2021. Stay up-to-date on all of our programs and more when you subscribe to the Coronation 50 Plus newsletter.

Mondays

Meditation with Carey at 8:30 a.m.

Meditation is a simple practice available to all, which can reduce stress, increase calmness and clarity and promote happiness. Learning how to meditate is straightforward and the benefits can come quickly. We offer basic tips to get you started on a path toward greater equanimity, acceptance, and joy. Take a deep breath and get ready to relax. Our meditation session lasts approximately 20 minutes.

Get Fit (All Levels) with Cheryl at 9 a.m.

A moderate intensity workout, this class is designed to help shed excess fat while building strength and endurance. This class includes cardio exercise and body weight exercises and finishes with core training and stretching for a complete workout.

Zumba Gold with Jenn at 10 a.m.

You may have heard of Zumba Gold or even taken Zumba Gold classes at the Coronation Centre. Zumba is a world-wide, dance fitness phenomenon and it is perfect for anyone who wants to burn calories, get stronger, and boost your mind while enjoying a bit of a boogie.

Sculpt and Tone exercises focus on adding definition to your physique with higher reps and lower weight. These workouts will help improve your circulation, metabolism, and caloric burn, further enhancing the shape and definition of your muscles.

A men's only cardio class consisting of low impact functional exercises. Balance exercises and strength training are key components of the class.

Chair Yoga with Renee at 11:30 a.m.

Chair Yoga is a specific form of yoga as therapy developed by Lakshmi Voelker-Binder in 1982, practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. The chair’s there to help if you want to hold onto something for balance, or if you’d rather do the whole class sitting down.
The poses are often adaptations of asanas in modern yoga as exercise.
